Kinjal Damani, Jean-Luc Rinaudo : can facebook be used to teach?

On the basis of long-term observations, this article will analyze the practices of secondary school teachers who use a social network with their students. The presentation of the results will enable us to add some nuance to the oft-heard claim that adolescents are increasingly on social media. On the contrary, these tools can encourage the fantasy that teachers are omnipotent and omnipresent. In some, they can also contribute to a confusion between private space and the professional sphere.

Sébastien Chapellon, Diane Salomon: the making of unplaceables

This article looks at failures that can occur in the multidisciplinary treatment of the subject. To protect themselves from the hard-to-tolerate affects that these subjects make them feel, professionals who are responsible for supporting them tend to reorient them towards others. This action, which is supposed to be therapeutic, increases the subject’s feeling of being abandoned and thus the violence of his or her attitudes. This will be illustrated by a clinical example.

Pierre Denis: unplaceable seed or the impossibility of staying in oneself

Starting with the definition of incasables (unplaceables) in specialist literature, the author will focus on the drive sources of the violent and asocial behaviors of these youths living on the margins of the medico-social system. The article combines metapsychological reflection about trauma with a clinical case that illustrates in a particular way the pitfalls of a life strewn with obstacles and shows the hopes as well as the limits of outpatient psychotherapeutic work.

Fanny Dargent: the adolescent poorly received: death drive and institution

Using a clinical account of a lengthy hospitalization in a psychiatric ward, the author focuses on the double function of transference repetition, examined through the prism of regression. The effects of regression, which are both harmful and binding, will be analyzed, with particular attention to instances of sadomasochistic acting as a way out of melancholic identification.

Barbara Smaniotto, Maïa Guinard: endured/enacted violence: the feminine goes astray

Meeting with an adolescent girl in juvenile justice system, leads us to investigate the interweaving of endured violence and enacted violence and the ways they are repeated. After exploring the registers in which repetition occurs, we try to conceive of the outcome of thwarted motions. The act and its straying into violence may then be understood as the feminine going astray. We will conclude with some thoughts about the treatment of such issues.
